The trade unions UGT and CSIF have called, as of today, a strike of the staff in the Spanish Embassy in Argentina to claim a pay rise of 25% that compensates the pay loss compared to the evolution of prices in that country. The Foreign Ministry has agreed on minimum services both in the Embassy and in the five Consulates in Argentina: Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Mendoza, Rosario and Bahía Blanca.
Trade unions announce that the strike could be extended throughout June to the Embassies in countries such as Canada, Australia, Finland, the United States or Equatorial Guinea.
