Tomorrow, the Faculty of Law of the University of Salamanca will host a seminar organized by this institution and by the Spain-US Council Foundation to analyse political, legal and trade problems aroused at the end of the 18th century between Spain and the newborn North American State around the navigation of the Mississippi River.

The academic coordination of the seminar Encounter and conflict between Spain and the United States in the Mississippi, which will be held between 9:30 and 17:30 hrs, is directed by the ambassador Eduardo Garrigues, member of the Executive Committee of the Spain-US Council Foundation, an expert in the matter.

The programme has academicians of excellence and recognized prestige in the history of America and, more specifically, in this relevant episode of the common past of both countries. For more information, visit the website www.spainusa.org.
