Instituto Francés screens ‘The Dancer’, by Stéphanie Di Giusto

This afternoon at 20:00 hrs, the Theatre of Instituto Francés of Madrid is screening the film The Dancer, by director Stéphanie Di Giusto, within the framework of the Series “Festival de Cannes”. Screening in French with Spanish subtitles.

Loïe Fuller, from the west of the US, did not seem to be destined to become an icon of the Belle Epoque and a dancer of the theatre of the Opera of Paris. Despite of suffering from back pain and having vision problems because of the theatre lights, she will not stop perfecting her dancing technique. However, the arrival of Isadora Duncan, a prodigious young success-hungry woman, will make her fall.
