The Diplomat. 14/03/2017
On Friday, the Cabinet approved sending to Parliament, as well as ratifying, the Headquarters Agreement between Spain and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, the organization specializing in agriculture of the Organization of American States (OAS).
The Institute, of which Spain has been a member since 2002 as an Associate State, has had, since 2001, a Permanent Office for Europe in Madrid in charge of channelling the support of the European Union to the agricultural and rural development of Latin America and the Caribbean. The signing and the provisional application of the Headquarters Agreement had already been authorized by the Government on 30 January 2015.
