The Government expressed its satisfaction yesterday with the appointment of the Spanish Rosa María Sánchez-Yebra Alonso as vice-governor for the Strategy of Social Development of the Council of Europe Development Bank. The appointment took place on 17 June by acclamation of the Board of the Directors of the Bank, proposed by its governor, Rolf Wenzel.
Sánchez-Yebra, who will take up her new post in December, is currently serving as secretary general of the Treasury in the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
