This afternoon at 20:00 hrs, as part of the series ‘Rupturas’, Casa América is screening the film Melaza, directed in 2012 by Carlos Lechuga, in an exclusive premiere.
Starring Yuliet Cruz, Armando Miguel Gómez, Lucho Gotti and Ana Gloria Buduen, the film tells how the closure of the sugar plant devastated the small town of Melaza, taking its life away. Aldo and Mónica are a young married couple that does not know how to survive. Supporting each other, they try to save their world without losing their faith.
