The number of unemployed people fell by a total of 678,200 people in 2015, a fall of 12.43%, which means the greatest historical fall of the Economically Active Population Survey (EAPS) conducted by the National Statistics Institute (INE in its Spanish acronym).
For its part, the number of employed people increased by 45,500 people in the last three months of the year, placing the total number on something less than 18.1 million. Therefore, the unemployment rate is, according to the EAPS, of 20.9%, which has been reduced by 2.81 points in the last 12 months.
