“Haití awaits you, Haiti is ready to welcome you”, said the Director of the Haiti Department of Tourism, Pascale Hilarie, who highlighted the large number of French and Czech visitors to the Island and the increase in Italian visitors.
After apologising for the absence of the head of the Haitian Ministry of Tourism, for reasons beyond his control, the Haitian Ambassador Hubert Labbé introduced Pascale Hilarie, head of the Department of Travel, Events and Tourism Promotion, who emphasised “the great things that Haiti is preparing from Haiti”.
According to the Ambassador, these plans “confirm that Haiti already occupies a favourite location on the Caribbean tourism map”, after the difficult years following the devastating earthquake in 2015 practically destroyed the country.
Labbé highlighted the hard work being carried out by the tour operator Haití Bednmore, whose director Stanley Tellus has visited Madrid to take part in the FITUR in order to promote package tours to the Island with “all included” holidays and tours that also visit Cuba and Santo Domingo.
