The Alicante shipping company Baleària envisages boosting its route between the United States and the Bahamas by increasing the capacity of the passenger ship operating between Port Lauderdale in Florida and Freeport in the Bahamas. During the next few weeks, the Company will be replacing the Pinar del Rio, with a capacity for 450 passengers, which currently operates this route by the fast ferry Jaume I which, according to the shipping line, “has a capacity for 600 passengers and better on-board services”.
In addition, Baleària will be opening a new line with Nassau, the commercial and cultural capital of the Bahamas, which could come into operation within the next few months.
