Yesterday, Spain asked the Israel’s authorities to revert their last decision of confiscating “a significant area of farming land in the West Bank”, since this measure “is an incentive for the expansion of colonist settlements” and an “obstacle for the creation of a climate of trust, which is necessary to resume peace conversations” with the Palestine Authority.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Madrid reminded Tel Aviv that settlements are “illegal according to the International Law” and that continuing their expansion raises doubts about the two-state solution.
