On Tuesday, Indonesia’s Embassy brought to Madrid several of Yakarta’s best chefs to organize, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Padang’s Royal Culinary Heritage, which was attended, among others, by the president of Spain’s Royal Academy of Gastronomy, Rafael Ansón, and Indonesia’s director of Tourism.

“Love wins us over through our stomach”, the representative of the Indonesian Government said during her speech before more than a hundred guests to point out that Indonesia is “much more than Bali” and has a rich and varied culinary tradition.

For her part, the ambassador to Spain, Yuli Mumpuni Widarso, emphasized the importance of FITUR for the tourist industry of her country and expressed her hope for Spain to be one of the most important markets, in the near future, for the Indonesian tourism.
