It is a tradition in Asia for the audience that is committed to the show to touch the face of an elephant, who shows off in every theatre. Rumour has it that this caress awakens the artistic senses of the public, who is lucky to witness a beautiful show.
Choreographer Jean-Philiipe Dury has turned this ritual into the symbol of his young company, which has a new signature in the world of dance. He presents it this afternoon at the Theatre of the French Institute of Madrid with the show Mémoires, a play nominated to the Taglioni Awards 2014, Prix Talent 2013, and also to the International Awards Simon Bolivar for the Arts and Culture 2015.
