The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Delcy Rodríguez, has responded to the Spanish initiative at the European Union, before which the Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel García-Margallo, expressed his concerned about Venezuela’s situation on Monday. Rodríguez recommended her Spanish colleague: “Take care of the governability crisis in your country and of the social disaster that has plunged Spain into precariousness before giving your opinion on matters you do not know about”.

Through her Twitter account, Delcy Rodríguez said that García-Margallo “interferes in Venezuela’s issues showing his historical ignorance and exercising an imperial protection of his former colonies”. “There is nothing for him to give his opinion about or to order to our Nation. (…) He is very badly informed”, she added.
