Casa de América is showing the film La ruta de las almas/The Road of the Souls, by Pavel Urkiza, today Tuesday 19 January at 19 hrs. in its Sala Iberia, with which it is opening the La música en Los martes del documental Cycle. The documentaries in the Cycle have music as the protagonist and there will be seven more films, the majority of which have not been shown previously in Spain.

La ruta de las almas tells the story of six Latin American artists, together with dozens of walkers who have shaped this vision of the journey along La ruta de las almas. This is a documentary that explores the ancestral connections of music from Persia to Patagonia, tracing the cultural and spiritual journey of the Latin American people. The documentary captures the creative process of the Cuban composer Pavel Urkiza and more than eighty artists from different countries who share with their words and their music the experience of travelling La ruta de las almas.
