The Spanish company OHL received a payment of 100 million euros from the Algerian company Sonatrach at the beginning of January, thereby ending a dispute between the two companies that began in 2012 over the construction of the Convention Centre in Oran (Algeria).
This payment is the result of the temporary suspension of the arbitration process requested by OHL with the objective of reaching a negotiated solution. The Spanish company had filed an arbitration claim in December 2012 against Sonatrach with the International Chamber of Commerce.
