After the success of the last 4th International Conference on Asian Tourism (CITA in its Spanish acronym) celebrated in November, Casa Asia participates in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR in its Spanish acronym) of Madrid, with the organization of the congress “Position and prospects of Asian tourism in Spain”, which will present the main conclusions of the CITA 2015 and will go more deeply into those aspects that consolidate Asian tourism as a new engine of the tourist sector.

The objective of the session is to analyze the main tourist markets issuing from Asia to Spain (Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Indian), their purchasing power, customs, needs, etc. It is aimed at all those professionals from the tourist sector and economic figures interested in Asia.

The conference, which will take place on 21 January from 10:00 to 13:00 hrs at IFEMA, in Madrid, will have the participation of Ramón María Moreno, director general of Casa Asia; Luis José Llorca, country manager of Global Blue Spain; Wolfgang Art, director of the China Outbound Tourism Research Institute of Berlin; Hyunjin Moon, business director in Spain of Compassfree; Alok Lahad, regional director of Cox & Kings; and Amadeo Jensana, director of the finance department of Casa Asia. Besides, a practical case on attention to Asian tourists will be studied by the firm Value Retail.

During the closing ceremony of the CITA 2015, the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, affirmed that “issuing Asian markets offer the greatest opportunities to grow”, hence the need to promote that tourism, both because of its potential of growth and because of its purchasing power.
