The appearance of Leoncio Fernández, former master of the association of fishermen of La Línea de la Concepción (Cadiz), before the Magistrates’ Court of Gibraltar, has been postponed until 20 April.
Fernández should have appeared in court yesterday, accused of “theft” of one of the concrete blocks thrown to the sea by the Gibraltarian authorities during the summer of 2013 arguing that they tried to create an “artificial reef”. Gibraltar’s Police considers that the fisherman was one of those in charge of getting out, in June 2014, one of the 70 concrete blocks that the Foundation for the Defence of the Spanish Nation (Denaes in its Spanish acronym) claimed.
