The Spanish economy registers a quarterly increase of 0.9% during the first quarter of 2015, according to a statement made yesterday by the Spanish Statistical Office (INE in its Spanish acronym). This rate is two tenths above the one registered in the fourth quarter of the previous year (0.7%).
This official statistical institution explained that the year-on-year speeding-up of the GDP is a consequence of a greater contribution of the national demand (3 points compared to 2.7 points in the previous quarter), an improvement in the foreign demand and an increase in the creation of employment.
