This afternoon at 19:30 hrs, Casa Árabe of Madrid screens the Spanish-Egyptian documentary film Sugar on the side, directed by Basel Ramsis. The film will be screened in original version with subtitles.
Egypt, summer of 2013. While a politician falls and another one is settling, Nehmedo, Hanan and many other women live between the dream of improving their situation by getting married for a few days with men from the area of the Gulf and their daily life marked by poverty, discrimination and violence, in a deprived town to the south of Giza.
