In February, the Cinema, with a capital C, takes Casa de América (Cibeles Square, unnumbered, Madrid). The reason why? Because the usual programme planning comes back stronger than ever, if possible, due to the reinauguration of the Iberia theatre, with the novelty of a Sony Digital Cinema 4K, which allows watching films in their highest quality. This way, Casa de América will still be a reference place for the Ibero-American cinema and will offer installations with leading-edge technology.
New theatre, new cycles. Like ‘Rupturas’, which will be the star of Wednesdays and whose objective is to show unconventional films working with language research and the marked accent of authors. Jauja, by director Lisandro Alonso and starring Viggo Mortensen, is the one in charge of inaugurating this new stage. Its first screening day (4 February) will offer another surprise: its leading actor will be with the public to talk about the film.
Kaplan is the next film to be screened. A story showing how life can always offer unique moments.
