This afternoon at 20:00 hrs, Casa de América (Cibeles Square, unnumbered, Madrid) inaugurates the exhibition Cineastas contados… de ambos lados, where the photographer Óscar Fernández Orengo presents 52 portraits of Ibero-American film directors.
In this exhibition, Óscar Fernández Orengo focuses on 52 film makers portrayed, in panoramic format and in black and white, in places chosen by them that are part of their daily life. This way, Cineastas contados… de ambos lados takes film directors from their professional environment to put them in front of the camera in a more personal place.
With 27 photographs of Latin American film makers never seen before and 25 portraits of Spanish film directors, this exhibition connects the cinema of Spain and America in intimate and personal portraits. The exhibition will be inaugurated at the Diego Rivera theatre and at the Guayasamín Gallery of Casa de América. Free entry until 3 April.
