Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel García-Margallo, held an interview with the president of the European People’s Party, the German Manfred Weber, on the occasion of his two-day visit to Madrid, which included both meetings with Mariano Rajoy and Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría. According to the Ministry, Margallo and Weber talked about the initiatives developed by the new European Commission, the European Council and the European Parliament, among them the regulations for a European fund of strategic investments, the fight against tax evasion and fraud, and the guidelines for the passenger registration to avoid the entry of foreign combatants.
