The Diplomat. Madrid
Yesterday, Spain’s Government demanded from the UN an “urgent, exhaustive and complete” investigation about the circumstances in which the death of the Spanish soldier of the UN mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Francisco Javier Toledo took place, as a consequence of Israel’s response to Hezbollah’s attacks in the south of the country of cedars. The Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel García-Margallo, asked his Israeli colleague, Avigdor Liberman, that his country collaborates in this investigation, after he called him to express his condolences, something that Israel’s Ambassador in Madrid, Alon Bar, had already done as well.
