The Thyssen-Bornemisza museum presents ‘Streets and faces of Berlin’

November 10, 2014
in Culture & Art

Until 25 January 2015, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the German Embassy pay homage to the city of Berlin and its inhabitants, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, with an exhibitive montage Strees and faces of Berlin in the Thyssen-Bornemisza collection. The Embassy has planned a series of activities at the Madrid Goethe-Institut, to run parallel to the exhibition, which will include film screenings and conferences.

Until the end of January 2015, a selection of 18 masterpieces from the collections, by artists such as George Grosz, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Otto Dix, Christian Schad and Max Beckmann –some of which are not usually on display -, make Berlin city the protagonist, and show us its flourishing artistic panorama during the first third of the twentieth century.
