Podemos, third political force, according to the CIS

November 6, 2014
in In brief

The Diplomat. Madrid.

Podemos has situated itself as the third political force, with an estimated 22.5% of the vote (7 points higher than three months ago), according to the Centre of Sociological Investigations’ (CIS, in Spanish) October Barometer. The PP, despite the fact that they are still in the top place, has received their worst result since the nineties, with 27.5%, whereas the PSOE is in second place, with 23.9%. This is the result after the CIS has taken into account other variables, though when it comes to direct voting intention, if the general election were to be held tomorrow, Podemos would come up on top, with 17.6%, followed by the PSOE (14.3%) and the PP (11.7%).
