King Felipe VI will make his debut next Thursday 13 November in one of the traditional activities carried out by the King of Spain: the distribution of posts to new diplomats. The event will take place at the Diplomatic School and will be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel García-Margallo. This time, fifteen young people will join the School of Diplomacy. Three years have passed without any enrolments, since there was no official announcement for examinations due to economic limitations and because multiple positions had been opened in previous exercises.
The last time the distribution of offices for new diplomats took place was in 2011, but the King Juan Carlos could not preside over the ceremony, because he was recovering from surgery. That is how a tradition that had been maintained for thirty years was broken. However, the Monarch received that class in the Zarzuela later.
