The Film Symphony Orchestra, known for performing soundtracks masterly and admired for its execution of John Williams’s music, for example, comes to Madrid again to offer a concert next 26 September at the Bullring of Las Ventas, at 9:00 p.m., starting a tour that will take it all over the country and will end next 22 November in A Coruña.
In 2012, the Film Symphony Orchestra was led by Darth Vader in its first tour and last year, the orchestra closed its cycle of concerts none other than with an excited Harrison Ford leading the more than 70 musicians who make up this spectacular symphonic orchestra… This year, in an exceptional place as Las Ventas, we can expect any surprise…
The only symphonic group dedicated exclusively to film music will perform the soundtracks of Gone with the wind, Ben-Hur, The magnificent seven, Lawrence of Arabia, Star Wars IV, Close encounters of the third kind and Back to the future.
They will also perform Batman, Robin Hood, The last of the Mohicans, Forrest Gump, The lord of the rings, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception and Game of thrones to top it off.
By the hand of the internationally honoured director and composer Constantino Martínez-Orts (Professor in Berklee College of Music and Master in Film Scoring by The London College of Music), Film Symphony Orchestra is the only professional orchestra that goes on tours exclusively dedicated to soundtracks.
