This afternoon, Casa Árabe organizes the conference Proyecto de excavación y restauración del templo Tutmosis III en Luxor: Una cooperación hispano-egipcia, which will be given by Myriam Seco Álvarez, archaeologist and director of the temple’s excavation, restoration and valuation project; and Javier Martínez Babón, archaeologist part of the excavation’s research team. The event will be presented by Eduardo López Busquets, director general of Casa Árabe. It will take place at the Auditorium of Casa Árabe (62 Alcalá Street) at 7:00 p.m. Entrance will be free while seats are available.
Tutmosis III was the pharaoh who conquered an empire from central Syria to the north of Sudan. His work, which included the organization of an imperial administration lasting throughout the centuries, took Egypt to the category of first power in the Asian Middle East.
