The Italian Cultural Institute (calle Mayor, 86. Madrid), presents the second season of the Suono Italiano Series: three concerts, by well-known Italian performers, the first of which will take place this evening, at the Institute, at 20:00 hrs.
In collaboration with the Ministero dei beni e delle attività culturali e del turismo (MIBACT) and organized by the Italian Institute, with the Comitato Nazionale Italiano Musica (CIDIM), this series represents a unique opportunity to see and listen to these musicians in Madrid. The concerts will take place this afternoon and on 2 and 20 October. The programme for the three concerts is as follows:
-15 September, Duo Canino-Ballista, piano (in the above photograph). They will play pieces by Muzio Clementi, Ferruccio Busoni, Alfredo Casella, Sergio Cafaro, Igor Stravinski.
– 2 October, Giuseppe Albanese, piano. Will play pieces by Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann.
– 20 October, Roberto Prosseda, piano, Gabriele Pieranunzi, violin; Francesco Fiore, viola and Shana Downes, violoncello; will play pieces by Felix Mendelssohn.
The concerts begin at 20:00 hours at the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid. Free entry, limited seating. The tickets will be handed out from one hour before the concert starts. Maximum of two tickets per person.
