‘From Bach to Einstein’: a musical journey through time and space

July 1, 2014
in Culture & Art

Originality, music and space meet tomorrow 2 July in the Palace of Cañete in Madrid, headquarters of the Sepharad-Israel Centre of Madrid (69 Mayor Street), on the occasion of the show From Bach to Einstein, an outstanding audiovisual proposal where the beauty of images from the Cosmos is blended with the language of classical music.

The guitarist Masayuki Tagaki, the cellist Serguei Mesropian and Telmo Fernández, doctor in Astrophysics and guitarist, accompanied by images of the Universe from the European Space Agency, will transport us in a journey through the most hidden and peculiar corners of the Cosmos: we will discover worlds revolving around other stars; we will witness their birth, evolution and death; we will go into black holes; we will witness collisions between galaxies; we will get a glimpse of how the origin of the Universe could be and all this with music arranged for cello and guitar by composers as representative as Bach, Veracini, Tchaikovsky, Fauré, Villalobos, Babadjanian, Saint-Saens, Rachmaninov.

Sessions at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; tickets 10 euros; reservations: cursoastrofisica@gmail.com.
