The diamond arm is a musical comedy filmed in 1968 and directed by Leonid Gaidai, which is being projected this afternoon in the Russian Centre of Science and Culture of Madrid at 6:00 p.m. (34 Atocha Street). A humble civil servant, Semión Semiónovich Gorbunkov (played by Yuri Nikulin), starts a tourist journey abroad when he goes on a cruise. Once there, he trips and breaks his hand in one of the small streets of a city. The words «Damn it!» pronounced when he falls, serve as a password for a group of smugglers and, while he is unconscious, they introduce gold and diamonds inside his cast. The true smuggler ends up being his neighbour in the cabin… The smugglers do everything they can to take the jewels back, which have an incalculable value. However, Semión Semiónovich reports the crime to the police, which triggers a heroic fight against the group of traffickers…
