The Lithuanian Embassy presented on Wednesday its new Councillor, Lina Skerstonaité, during a reception celebrated in the chancery. At this same event, the Councillor and number two of the Embassy, Gytis Marcinkevičius, and the third Secretary, Aušra Diržytė said their farewells. Both are returning to Vilna.

The Ambassador, Audra Plepytė used the occasion to highlight the excellent work both diplomats carried out during the years they were resident in Spain, both on political and economic issues.

Lina Skerstonaitė is an Economics graduate. Before being posted to Spain, she worked at the Lithuanian Consulate in Chicago and at the Embassy in Argentina, as well as in the Ministry of Foreign Relations in Vilna.

Gytis Marcinkevičius graduated in Journalist and Public Relations. As well as at the Ministry of Foreign Relations in Vilna, to which is he now returning, he was posted in Brussels, at the Lithuanian Permanent Representation at the European Union.
