The cyber defence will be the centre of the debates at the XXVI International Seminar on Security and Defence, organized by the Association of European Journalists with the support of the Ministry of Defence, which will be celebrated next 24 and 25 June in Toledo.
Apart from the Minister of Defence, Pedro Morenés, who will close the meeting, the event will have the participation of Greg Austin, member of the Department of War Studies of the Kings College of London (Australia), Suleyman Anil, member of the cyber defence centre of the NATO and the director of the National Intelligence Centre, the general Félix Sanz Roldán, among others.
The objective of these meetings, according to their organizers, is to make the reflection on matters related to Defence and Foreign Policy easier, as well as their understanding by journalists specialized in these sectors.
The seminar, which has been celebrated every year for 26 years, will be developed in four sessions dedicated to the new threats, the cyber defence in Spain, the allies in the cyber attacks, the new objectives for the intelligence or the investigation applied to cyber security.
In last editions of this forum, among other famous experts, they have had the participation of the former High Representative of the EU, Javier Solana, the former British minister of Defence, Michael Portillo, or the adviser for the USA’s president Barack Obama, Robert Bell.
