Within the framework of the cycle of conferences “Maria Skłodowska Curie, a Pole in Paris”, the Institut Français organizes the conference Radioactivity, or the science of the invisible, run by Renaud Huynh, Director of the Curie Museum of Paris.
Member of the Board and of the Committee for the Curie y Joliot-Curie Association, Renaud Huynh was the scientific advisor for the documentary film “Marie Curie, more than a myth” (which won the PGDG Prize at the Pariscience Festival in 2011) and for the fictional documentary “Marie Curie, a woman on the front line” (2014).
Since reopening to the public in September 2012, the Curie Museum has received nearly 20,000 visits, and, in 2013, received the “House of the illustrious” designation. Because of its activities and the richness of its collections, it contributes to the international notoriety of French scientific research (especially through the figure of Marie Curie).
The conference will take place at 8 p.m. at the Prosper Mérimée Mutimedia Library of the Institut Français, Madrid (Marqués de la Ensenada, 12). Free entry, limited capacity.
