Conversations about the III Republic

June 30, 2014
in Uncategorized

Author: Julio Anguita y Carmen Reina.

The reach of the current economic crisis has led to a major deepening of the political and ideological crisis in which we were already immersed in Western Europe. The logical consequence has been the growth in the frustration levels of people when faced with the political and economic reality. (…) Conversations about the III Republic envisages a republican proposal as a democratic alternative to the existing reality (…) This book by Julio Anguita and Carmen Reina helps to build this alternative, giving us clues and shedding light over the future we want for our society. And, above all, about how to go about accomplishing it. What is truly important is that this work be a tool which is absorbed by the biggest number of people possible. It is a work of political formation, of re- politicization of a society which has woken up and is walking towards a III Republic. (Prologue by Alberto Garzón, Political Economy Secretary for Izquierda Unida).
