The Japanese Ambassador to Spain, Satoru Satoh, opens this evening at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando (C/Alcala, 13. Madrid) the exhibition of Ikebana Floral Art, organized by the Ikebana School Ikenobo and Art and Culture of Japan Association. The exhibition and attached activities are part of the events planned to mark the fourth centenary of the Spanish-Japanese relations, the Dual Year Spain-Japan and the twentieth anniversary of the presence of the School of Floral Art Ikenobo in Spain.
The opening will take place this morning at 12 o’clock and will be attended by the Director of the Royal Academy of San Fernando, Antonio Bonet Correa and the Grand Master of Ikebana, Ikenobo Sen’ei (45th generation), who explicitly come from Kyoto. Tomorrow Friday, May 30, at 17:00, Grand Master Ikenobo Sen’ei, will give a workshop for floral art, in the hall of the Royal Academy of San Fernando.
