Drama films at China’s Cultural Centre

China’s Cultural Centre in Madrid (General Pardiñas street, 73) starts from today a new film series, this time focusing on the drama. The time and place of the screenings remain the same as in the previous two series: Wednesday at 19:30 in the auditorium on the ground floor of Building B. Admission is free.

The first, Confucius, speaks of the life of the famous Chinese philosopher. The third film, Mei Lanfang (Forever captive), sums up the first half of the life of the great master of Peking Opera, a character that marked a point in the history of this form of art which often represents China internationally. The June 11th film, Lost on the trip, is a drama, but also a comedy that was a box office record in China in 2010 summer. Another three films, The crown flower rainbow (May 21), in the summer (June 4th) and Ex-Wife (June 18th), talk about stories of simple characters, insignificant in the time but very real ones, and recount events of daily life that often befall around us.
