The relatives of the Nicaraguan editor and poet Ricardo Llopesa received on Thursday in Valencia, from the hands of Ambassador Carlos Midence and Minister Counselor Milagros Urbina, the posthumous recognition ‘OrgulloDeMi País’ for «his outstanding research, creative and promotional work in Spain and around the world» of the work of Rubén Darío.
Founder of the Institute of Modernist Studies, Llopesa, who died on July 27 in Valencia, was the greatest scholar on the work of the author of ‘Azul’, which this year celebrates the 130th anniversary of its publication.
Llopesa published more than twenty critical editions of Rubén Darío’s texts, as well as an extensive series of his own works.
