Spain will contribute 70,000 euros to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the Indian state of Kerala caused by the monsoon torrential rains and floods, which have killed 370 people, as announced yesterday the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and for the Development (Aecid).
The Spanish Government responds to the call of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) to collect 400,000 euros for the reserve fund for disaster relief. The contribution of 70,000 euros will be channeled through the pre-assigned rapid response fund in case of catastrophes».
