Until next October 31, CentroCentro (Plaza de Cibeles, 1. Floor 4) presents the exhibition ‘La Interior, Lara Albuixech’ (Madrid, 1971), which reconstructs the erased memories of the photographer’s childhood in Western Sahara, supported by the family album and the stories of her parents. Images that in turn narrate the consequences of an inconclusive decolonization process and show the importance of people’s identity when it is denied.
This exhibition is part of EnFoco, a series organized by CentroCentro that exhibits for the first time in a public institution the work of five photographers selected by competition.
