Casa América is screening the film La vida y nada más (Life and nothing else) by the director Antonio Méndez Esparza, every Wednesday until July 25 at 8:00 p.m.
With Andrew Bleechington and Regina Williams in the leading roles, the film tells how Andrew, an African-American teenager, yearns to find his place in present-day North America. Alongside his mother Regina, who wish her life to be something more than taking care of her children, Andrew will be forced to suffer the pressure of family responsibilities. In addition, his search to communicate with his absent father will lead him to take a dangerous path.
