A delay in the arrival to Brussels of Theresa May prevented Pedro Sánchez to hold, on June 28, the meeting he planned to hold with the British Prime Minister, at the European Council. They had to limit it to a brief greeting committing to meet again as soon as possible.
The occasion, according to information provided to The Diplomat, has been today with the NATO Summit in the Belgian capital. The head of the Executive has already set a time to meet May, who has just been forced to overcome a crisis of Government, caused by the exit of the two people in charge of Foreign Affairs, Boris Johnson, and of the negotiation of the Brexit, David Davis.
The Brexit and its repercussions in Spain will be one of the main issues to be addressed, including the negotiation on how to apply the transition period to Gibraltar, which has got held up for some time.
