Casa América presents, in its Frida Khalo gallery, until July 31, the exhibition Shadow of the island, a work by Musuk Nolte. Throughout his career, this Peruvian photographer has developed a recognizable sordid but poetic style in which the artistic qualities add to the documentary ones.
Shadow of the island focuses on Cuba’s people and landscapes through an emotional approach guided by Musuk’s intuition to find the essential elements. The lens of his camera captures the everyday life and the deep relationship of the Cuban people with their territory, history and culture.
