The Queen Letizia presided yesterday in Madrid over the presentation of Phare Nador, the new center of Women for Africa in this city of the northeast of Morocco in which, as well as the first headquarters of this Foundation in the African continent, a center dedicated to generate, transmit and share knowledge among the African women will be established.
The works of restoration of the center are being carried out at the moment. The center has been handed over to the Foreign Ministry and it will open its doors in the first months of 2019.
During the event -which was attended by the president of the Congress, Ana Pastor; several ministers of the Government, the Ibero-American Secretary General, Rebeca Grynspan; the president of the Foundation, María Teresa Fernández De la Vega, and many ambassadors, especially African ambassadors-, the Queen, honorary president of the Women for Africa Foundation, expressed her gratitude to those companies and institutions that, “with determination and active implication”, bet on African women and “the millions of African women” that with their “efforts and the help of everyone” aspire to “a fairer and more equitable present and future”.
