The Spanish government yesterday condemned the Israel’s recent approval of plans for the construction of hundreds of new housing units in Beil El (West Bank) and East Jerusalem, and stressed that these enclaves in the Palestinian territories «are illegal according to International Law», says a Foreign Ministry’s statement.
The note recalls that Spain, which follows the doctrine by the UN in successive resolutions, maintains a «constant policy of condemnation» against the expansion of Israeli settlements, as already stated on June 7 after the approval of other constructions.
