The city of Madrid received 855,296 tourists in the month of July, 5.6% more than in the same month of the previous year. This number of visitors is the highest of a month in July of the entire series, according to data from the Hotel Occupancy Survey of the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
In the last twelve months, the total number of travelers has risen to 9,520,599 in the city, which means an increase of 2.3%, one tenth less than that registered in the previous month. Overnight stays in the capital also reached their highest number in a month of July, since they stood at 1,709,914, which represented a growth of 2.7 percent over the same month of 2017.
