The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana opened, from today and until Friday, at its headquarters in Poeta Joan Maragall Street (former Captain Haya street), 38-3º, the Book of Condolences on the death of the former Secretary General of the United Nations and illustrious son of Ghana, Kofi Annan, according to a statement sent to The Diplomat.
The Embassy wishes to facilitate the condolences of all those who wish to join the tribute to the Ghanaian politician, who died on Saturday, August 18, 2018 in Switzerland.
In honor of his memory, the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has ordered that the national flag remain hoisted at half mast in the country and in all relevant locations for a week, from Saturday 18 of August 2018.
