The Spanish Government asked Latvia’s Government to grant its agrément to the appointment as Ambassador to Latvia to the diplomat Susana Cámara, who was until few months ago the Office’s head of the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Ildefonso Castro, The Diplomat learnt.
Susana Cámara will replace Pedro Miguel Jiménez Nácher, who was Ambassador to Latvia since July 2014.
The future Ambassador to Latvia joined the Diplomatic Service diplomatic in 1998. Previous to this appointment, she was posted, among other positions, to Baghdad, Paris, Tel Aviv, UN Human Rights Office, the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and the Government’s Presidency.
