EasyJet has announced a new service between Gibraltar and the airport of London Luton that will start on December 4, 2018. The service will operate twice a week -on Tuesdays and Saturdays- during the entire year, through a plane Airbus A319. Fees will start on 15.72 pounds.
This way, the airport of London Luton joins those of Bristol, London Gatwick and Manchester in the network of routes of EasyJet from Gibraltar. Ali Gayward, in charge of the company for the United Kingdom of EasyJet, declared that they are observing: an increase in the number of passengers travelling with EasyJet in the routes to Gibraltar with affordable prices and a trip lasting approximately two hours and a half. The Gibraltarian Minister of Tourism and Commercial Aviation, Gilbert Licudi, emphasized that, thanks to the new route, the northern region of London will have simple access to Gibraltar again, whether it is for business, leisure or visiting friends and family.
