Generalitat’s President, Quim Torra, met yesterday representatives of the institutions that are part of the Board of the Council of Public Diplomacy of Catalonia (Diplocat) to reactivate this body, which was liquidated by the Executive of Mariano Rajoy after the application of article 155 of the Constitution, because it understood that its sole function was to publicize the independence process abroad.
The Catalan Minister for External Action, Ernest Maragall, said that one of the objectives of Diplocat will be «to explain to the world the right to self-determination and plurality» in Catalonia. He also announced that half a dozen delegations will be operational in September, which were closed, specifically in London, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Geneva and the United States.
